Example Professional Development Programme

A typical week long professional development programme is outlined below.

Day one

Small group A

A one-hour professional development discussion on adult education, training, or assessment topic of interest. The approach is specifically tailored to ensure all views are equally valued and the group is encouraged to trial the agreed approach over the coming days (action-based learning).

Training room coaching

Our experienced team will work with you to develop a coaching schedule. We will review the training room environment and provide expert confidential advice to the trainer/assessor and the immediate supervisor. Generally, one hour enables us to review the training and assessment environment followed by a half hour private coaching discussion upon conclusion of the training event. The faculty member will receive video/photographic evidence and a comprehensive written report with ongoing professional development recommendations.

Training room coaching

The training room coaching process continues in the afternoon to ensure a second trainer/assessor is reviewed. All trainers/assessors will receive video/photographic evidence and a comprehensive written report with ongoing professional development recommendations.

Small group C

As above. Why small groups? Providing a safe environment will ensure all those in attendance participate. Our highly skilled facilitators will ensure all views are equally valued. One many occasions Transformation Consultancy has observed how the approach develops trust and respect within various work teams. Such an approach will transfer the training institute-wide.

Validation meeting

You select the subject or course (training program) and a member of our team will join your faculty meeting to provide an independent and expert opinion on the materials provided. Generally, our team will independently validate the course prior to entering the meeting (you receive a comprehensive written report). In this way, you can be assured of value for money.

Transformation Consultancy has developed institute-wide validation schedules for several large training institutions. Our experts have validated dozens of courses from various training program subject areas including health, nursing, public safety, horticulture, electrotechnology, and more.

Leadership mentoring

Join with a representative from Transformation Consultancy to review a leadership topic of interest. We can present a variety of topics based upon our leadership experiences developed across three training providers.

In addition, Transformation Consultancy can collaborate with your team to facilitate an induction into one or a suite of our online training courses to strengthen the leadership capacity of your institution over time.

Transformation Consultancy can collaborate with your trainer/assessor groups to facilitate an induction into one or a suite of our online training courses to suit individual needs. Our team will outline the online course structures and how the content aligns with the trainer/assessor or education leadership role.

Our team will facilitate one FREE 30 minute webinar, two weeks after this date, to support the learning journey as part of this professional development programme.

Day five

 

Training room coaching

The training room coaching process occurs in the final training room of your choosing. All trainers/assessors will receive video/photographic evidence and a comprehensive written report with ongoing professional development recommendations.

Leadership Training

Gather your leadership to collaborate with a Transformation Consultancy representative to develop some long-term sustainability approaches to support your trainers and assessors. We will present some key observations from our engagement and recommend some solutions for your consideration.

Evaluation report

Transformation Consultancy will provide your Executive with a comprehensive written report outlining the achievements against the terms of reference (previously agreed upon). Our team will leave you with video evidence to transparently document the observations of the programme.

Upon conclusion your institution will receive:

  • Professional development trainer/assessor session (groups A,B & C), topic of your choice

  • Training room coaching reports x 5

  • Validation report

  • Leadership mentoring on a topic of choice

  • Video and photographic evidence portfolio

  • A shared leadership sustainable vision

  • Ongoing supported blended learning pathway

  • Evaluation report defining all activities, including, the collaborative outcomes from the professional development small group sessions.

 

Flexibility

Week long professional development programme

Our client needs remain the centre of all we do. Our extended professional development programmes are as diverse as our clients. The client can remove activities from the above or add activities to meet their needs. The programme timeframe can be extended or reduced.
